Aaron (insert clapping sound here) another five star story. but I’ve listened to dark before and I just didn’t get that vibe from this riveting listen that had angst, drama, sexcapades and touching tender times as two souls connected and got things deliciously wrong. it captured my thoughts and possessed me as the plot line slowly unravelled to reveal a real gem of an awesome story. It was unique, refreshing and a really enjoyable dual POV story. and Sebastian was always going to catch her because Sebastian couldn’t live, couldn’t love and couldn’t function without her. But she was still a prisoner and, until she was free and able to make her own choices, Camille was always going to run. Sebastian lacked the empathy gene but he made up for it with his caring words, his thoughtful acts, his possessive ways and his sexual touches. and Camille found that something in her kidnapper’s arms. a boyfriend she couldn’t commit to because something was missing.

And he handled it in the only way he knew how. and this story certainly didn’t disappoint. After finishing Celia Aaron’s wonderfully dark and delicious Acquisition Trilogy I knew I wanted more of this gifted author’s work.
